We keep getting alerts for 100% CPU usage, it usually only lasts about 20-40 minutes but we seem to not be around when this happens so have been unable to get onto the panel and see what is going on...
Anturis is not much help here, only showing the top 5 processes, but this only shows about 3% of the total CPU usage, so there must be a huge amount of processes being created for some reason filling up the CPU time.
The logs should log all running processes and their usages, so that debugging issues is easier.
I have set to check a web server (port 80) each 5 minutes with a status rule:
- Minimum check failures: 3
- During subsequent checks: 3
- passed checks to OK: 1
Based on that I should to get an error message when a web site will load slow (above 1000ms) at least 3 times in a row (overall after 15 minutes), but I'm getting an error message on each slow page load each 5 minutes.
Any idea what can be set wrong?
Would it be possible to implement this feature:
Specify a regular maintenance window for each device during which some known maintenance takes place (e.g. rebooting a server, etc.) This is because some organizations exclude maintenance windows from uptime reporting.
For now you may use the ability to suspend/resume Monitors
For an example when there is a critical error it will bring an email alert first, then after 15 minutest text message and next 15 minutes making a call. On a WebSitePulse.com they have alerts rules including days and time of availability of that person.
I am having an ongoing issue with several of my installations that are monitoring windows services. Everything will be running fine and then I will get the notification that Windows Services Monitoring is no longer working due to a general plugin failure. I have tried to reinstall with the latest MSI but the problem just comes back up. Tells me to look into the error logs but there is no useful information there. This is disconcerting seeing as this was one of the major sells for me.
We are using firstname.lastname@example.org as an SMS alert but cannot get the verification link. Can you verify it from your end?
I've installed Anturis Agent Manger on my windows server configured monitor to keep track of specific service.
After that I installed more services to the windows server, but Agent has not refreshed it's list and is not showing new services when I'm trying to add monitors.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling agent, that didn't help.
I've waited over 48 hours, it didn't update.
How can I refresh the list of services?
We have a number a server behind a firewall and would like to know when/if it goes down. Port forwarding from outside is not an option here unfortunately. Is it possible to achieve some other way through local agent monitors? We tried to setup ping of an outside resource but when server went down Anturis simply marked local agent as unavailable. Thank you.
I'm monitoring SSL endpoint on AWS ELB.
New monitor works, but any attempts to modify anturis agents for monitoring (like replace default Dallas monitor to Germany one, for example), break monitoring.
I notice the new Windows agent installs different Windows user accounts than the older version. Please confirm which account executes the log monitor and what file permissions are required.
It would be really helpful if an overview of the Anturis user account(s) were published in the wiki (apologies if it is already there).
I keep getting errors revolving around Linux Services and a timeout while executing a custom shell command.
Similar to another reported bug, but not quite the same symptoms. I am getting Error code 8 on Windows 2012 server when I try and execute a shell command ( I try 'echo test' to keep it simple), I also get the same when trying to set up a log monitor. The base disk/cpu and process monitors work fine. I am using the same settings as I used successfully on 2008R2 servers which I set up monitoring two years ago.
Attached are two screenshots of the Anturis Agent log which show that the plugins are failing because the restricted token cannot be constructed. I have three servers which I am setting up 2 of them have the same issue, the third allows shell commands.
It is critical for my business to get this working as soon as possible, please assist.
The agent is not getting connecting. In the log agent-service.log I can see the below error.
